Moldova is a small, but beautiful country with modest hardworking people. They violate traffic laws and do not think about consequences, so we started the campaign LIFE HAS PRIORITY, where people will learn to cherish their lives and those around.

The Pangue school is located in the rural area VII Región del Maule, Chile. Our big problem is that there is inadequate road signage alerting motorists to the presence of our school.

Due to student deaths in car accidents we want to increase the profile of road safety in the classroom. A 3D-1/3 scale model of regional road accidents was produced after work with police. Students acted as crash investigators to find the cause.

Road safety is the responsibility of all citizens whether they already drive or not. In collaboration with Kunhadi, and funded by Tiny but Mighty, a small team of students was able to improve the condition of a road in our school area.

Our school celebrated Road Safety Week from 23–29 April 2014. Students of STD VIII, IX and X participated in this awareness program which involved competitions inside and outside the school area.

Everybody, including adults but especially children, are in danger on their way home from school. We want to draw attention on this problem by focusing on one of the most dangerous streets in our town.

To improve road safety we decided to reduce the traffic around our school when students arrive by creating a map that the whole of Carabobo state can use to avoid congestion and accidents. We also started up a club to safeguard student safety.

OLMobility is a project developed by students of OLM, Our Lady of Mercy School, located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for the purpose of raising environmental awareness and respect for traffic norms and regulations that help ensure road safety.

This research project deals with the peculiarities of children’s safety on roads in Arctic regions of the Earth. Weather and climate conditions make roads here especially dangerous for children.

This project was carried out by second year high school students. We decided to aim this project at primary school children and final year students in our own school. In order to do this, we collaborated with Milinko Kusic primary school.

Our goal was to persuade town officials of the necessity to include the community of skaters in the alternative transportation city planning and our school in the discussion and realisation of the future of transportation in our town of Martin.

In this project, two students from the final year of secondary school studied the cycle paths in our city and developed a plan to improve them. Furthermore they researched how to increase bicycle use among our school students.

Our project aims to promote a new mentality and new habits to reduce stress while driving, minimising the risk of traffic accidents.

We seek to generate proposals and initiatives to improve the safety of different sections of road around our school (entry and exit, etc.), together with the support of other delegates.

The students of ECOS understand that their fellow Argentineans have serious difficulties abiding by the rules. This is why they chose to visit a primary school to conduct games and activities, with a view to modifying this perspective.

We wanted to work out a topic which touches us most, and it is safety when in-line skating and quad bike riding – the most popular free time activities of youngsters nowadays.

Reflection on the main road safety rules for pedestrians, cyclists and street users like our students aged 11–14. A survey of the road signs on the streets of our small town and suggestions to improve them.

The roads have become very dangerous because a lot of drivers or pedestrians ignore the rules. So we decided to change the situation and help people to remember the rules and save their lives in such a way.

To solve the traffic problem in front of our school by motivating the students and encouraging them to join the ‘Fall in Love with Cycling’ campaign, that aims to reduce the use of vehicles running on fossil fuels.

This action entitled ‘From home to school’ is an interesting and age-friendly way to give children a basic knowledge of independent and safe behaviour in traffic.
