Road crashes are now the leading cause of death among people aged 5-29-years, warns the World Health Organisation, in its freshly updated Global status report on road safety. Therefore, this is the responsibility of all to educate young people so that they are aware of the risks and know how to behave safely.
Launched in 2011 within Renault’s Safety and Mobility For All programme, YOUR Ideas YOUR Initiatives international challenge has been promoted in schools on four continents. 444 projects have been carried out in seven years, by more than 12,500 students. On December 11, 2018, the programme has been acknowledged by receiving a Prince Michael Road Safety International Award.
Join this unique opportunity to promote safety and sustainable mobility in your communities. Participation is free, and the winning projects will receive prizes! This year the deadline to present the schools projects will be the 15th of May and all schools are very welcome to bring their valuable contributions!
