Histoires d'école

Fifteen enthusiastic students worked to identify the issues of road safety and sustainable development in our community and provoke change in our district in order to reduce road accidents. We involved other institutions to support our mission.

Fifteen students from Nesho Bonchev High School joined NGOs, organisations and the community in all of our initiatives in order to reduce traffic accidents, especially ones involving children on the road. This included lectures, leaflets, brochures,...

The project informed the students about the problem connected with road accidents and what kind of behaviour causes them.They got inspired and popularized among their classmates and society different ways to behave safely on the road .

Students from ‘Nesho Bonchev’ High School joined clubs and organisations in the Panagyurishte district to promote the motto ‘Save Yourself, Save the Others’. Together they organised a variety of initiatives in order to reduce traffic victims on ther.

Nowadays the deadliest invention is the car and especially the one driven by a drunken teenager trying to impress friends. According to the statistics 84 teens aged 18–24 died in Bulgaria as a result of drink-driving in 2013.

This is a project unlike any other. We do not aim to raise awareness solely in road safety but also the role of society in protecting and preserving our national heritage from the years before and during the Ottoman empire - the Samovodska Charshi.

This is our contribution to learning the rules of the road and promoting the campaign Save The Child – Give Future, in order to prevent hazardous situations.

Our school initiates permanent policy for education of young people in responsible behaviour on the road and culture of appropriate road traffic. This year our initiative is developed on the concept that is applied worldwide - Road Safety Audit.

We were training our special needs students to walk safely in groups, when they went to the zoo.

Students of a small Bulgarian town realized the surroundings of their school were not safe and they demanded to the mayor some improvements in order to reduce risks: pedestrian paths, speed limits and the prohibition to park in front of the school.
