Access program students from Nakhodka Russia implemented a road safety project involving primary school students, teaching them road safety rules and road signs. Kids had a chance to use their knowledge in practice.

Our school is in Moscow where there's much traffic and different means of transport, so our aim was to raise the primary school student’s awareness and help them to be responsible and conscious pedestrians now and responsible drivers in the future.

We think that rules, posters and games are very useful for cyclists, because the need for bike safety is always real.

We tried to identify and eliminate problematic key issues with the pedestrian and vehicle traffic near the school territory. We had a school event where we presented our project on a poster and we wrote a letter to the local government.

We created a universal and exciting simulator (e-Manual Book) for kids and teens to study and practice the road rules. It is a multimedia computer programme (video, photos, tests) which is easy to install in each classroom. Kids will like it.

This research project deals with the peculiarities of children’s safety on roads in Arctic regions of the Earth. Weather and climate conditions make roads here especially dangerous for children.

Students from the English International School in Moscow know that awareness and education are key to improving road safety, so they worked together to create a professional website loaded with great information and videos.

They say a picture speaks a thousand words… so the students at the Secondary School for Health № 138 decided to use them to communicate about road safety!

Road safety depends on the behavior of drivers, passengers and pedestrians, but the state also has responsibilities to uphold. A group of students in Russia chose to appeal to theirs in order to improve the poor road conditions in their community.
